Courier contacts and how to complain about a parcel in Romania

Updated 30 Oct 2026. By law (OUG 13/2013 art. 38–42) you file a complaint with the courier within 6 months of posting (sender or recipient), the courier has 3 months to answer and pay, then you can go to ANCOM (regulator; it can sanction but not award money) with proof, and to court within 1 year. Compensation for a lost domestic parcel without declared value is 5× the service tariff plus the postage; with declared value (≈1% fee) the full value; indirect losses are not covered.
