Privacy Policy

This is a translation for convenience. The Romanian version is the legally binding one; in case of any difference, the Romanian version prevails.

Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how xAWB.ro collects, uses, stores and protects your information when you use our services. We respect your right to privacy and are committed to protecting personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Romanian law.

What data we collect

AWB searches

When you look up an AWB, we send it only to that courier, to show you the status. We do not keep a log of searches: we only count, per day and courier, how many searches there were, how many parcels were found, how long the answer took, the type of device (computer, phone or automated program), the language and, when available, the country. These statistics are anonymous and kept without a time limit.

To count the distinct AWBs of a day correctly, we keep a cryptographic fingerprint of the AWB, not the AWB itself, for at most 2 days. When a courier returns an error or does not find an AWB, we keep a sample for 7 days with the masked AWB (first 3 and last 2 characters), the courier, the type of error and the time, so that we can fix problems; the same goes for the texts of unknown statuses (digits masked). The legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing and protecting the service.

We do not store your IP address or your browser's full details (user agent). The IP address is used only briefly, in the server's memory, to limit the number of searches. Detailed search records from before this system are being deleted.

Messages sent through the contact form keep the text, your e-mail address if you give one, and the type of device, so that we can reply. We delete them automatically after 12 months.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right of access, rectification, erasure ("the right to be forgotten"), restriction, portability, objection, and the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing. To exercise these rights, contact us via the Contact page.

Data sharing

We do not sell, trade or rent user information to third parties. We may share anonymous, aggregated data with our partners to improve our services. We may disclose information if required to do so by law.

Cookies and similar technologies

Google AdSense shows ads on the site. Google and its partners use cookies and similar identifiers to serve ads, limit how often you see the same ad and measure results; ads are personalised by interests only with your consent. See how Google uses cookies in advertising; you can turn off personalised ads in Google's ad settings.

A point's satellite view (the “Satellite” button on the locker map) is loaded from Google Maps only when you tap the button. Google then receives your browser's IP address and may set its own cookies, under Google's privacy policy. We only count how many views are opened per day and network, with no data about you.

Data security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
